Fudge is super tasty and a great treat to make for a sleepover movie marathon, if it isnt eaten by then already!.

30+ minutes prep

300ml fresh milk
550g sugar
100g butter
2tsp vanilla essence

1. Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring the milk slowly to a boil, then add the sugar and butter. Heat the mixture slowly, stirring continuously, until all the sugar has dissolved and the butter has melted.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil for 2 minutes with a lid on the saucepan. Remove the lid and stir occasionally for 15-20 minutes. it is ready when you can roll a bit of the mixture between your finger and thumb and it makes a soft ball.
3. Remove your mixture from the heat, stir in the vanilla essence and leave it to cool for 5 minutes. Beat the fudge until it just begins to lose its gloss and is a thick mixture.
4. Put the mixture into a square tin, and mark squares in it when it is almost set. When it has completely set, cut out the squares properly and put them in an air tight container.
